Tara Garza, CNP, joined the Family Health Centers of Community Memorial Hospital in 2014.
Tara works with Dr. Duane Johnson in the Hicksville Family Health Center, assisting with most aspects of his practice including caring for chronically ill patients, handling routine sick patient visits, and performing women's health exams.
Tara began her nursing career at Parkview as a staff RN in the telemetry unit and came to CMH in 2006. At CMH she served as the cardiac rehab nurse and worked in med-surg, obstetrics, intesive care, and the emergency department.
She is experienced in all aspects of women's health, including annual exams; acute gynecological problems; pre-natal care and education; contraceptive counseling; management of menopause issues; preventative care and education. She also provides primary care for patients of all ages, including diagnosing and treating a wide variety of chronic health conditions, acute illnesses and injuries, routine physicals, and well-child exams..
Tara also volunteers regularly at the Fountain of Faith Free Medical Clinic.
