The Community Memorial Hospital Foundation launched a campaign to raise money to bring aquatic therapy to Community Memorial Hospital (CMH). Aquatic therapy combines traditional physical therapy with the properties of water to assist patients with exercise and enhance healing. Combining land and aquatic exercise allows for a more comprehensive treatment program.

CMH Foundation

Community Memorial Hospital's Foundation is a community based, tax-exempt organization created to provide donors with a way to contribute to the growth and enhancement of local health care services.

Tribute gifts can be donated in the memory of a deceased friend or relative or in honor of a special person. Planned gifts could be a bequest, life insurance, trust, or annuity. Funds donated to the Foundation are used for Annual Scholarships, Continual Development, the Auxiliary Fund and the Endowment Fund.

Annual Gifts

Annual Gifts sustain ongoing programs and services.  With the cost of patient care, services and technology rising each year, Community Memorial Hospital increasingly depends on gifts.  You may choose to make an unrestricted gift and the Foundation Board will direct it to the areas most in need.  Or, if you prefer, you may ask that your gift benefit an area that is especially meaningful to you or to your loved ones.  Your annual gift brings recognition through various Recognition Programs.

Capital Gifts

Capital Gifts support needs such as construction or renovation of areas and new equipment.  Periodically major campaigns are launched for large projects.

Estate and Planning Gifts

Estate and Planned Gifts offer the opportunity to make a gift to the Community Memorial Hospital foundation in concert with personal long term financial and estate planning, which turn qualifies you for an estate tax deduction.  Learn more.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts

You can make a gift in memory of a friend or loved one, in honor of an extraordinary person who has made a difference in your life, or to commemorate a special occasion.

Gifts of Endowment

A Gift of Endowment is a permanent, ongoing source of support.  Such gifts are invested to generate annual income and a portion of the return on the fund is used for the purpose chosen by the donor.

Scholarship Gifts

Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis to students entering a healthcare career.  Your gift helps sustain this program.

Transportation Gifts

Community Memorial Hospital operates the Care-A-Van service which provides transportation to the Hospital and surrounding physician offices on a no charge basis.  Gifts for this program assist with ongoing maintenance for the van and eventually a replacement.
