Clinical Job Openings

 

CLINICAL

LPN (31.18) 1.0 (84.18) .8 FT Positions open to start a new service that will see patients in the late afternoon and early evenings. Service will be open 6 to 7 days per week. This position is responsible to administer nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the physician. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Assists physician with office procedures, collection and maintenance of accurate patient documents. Ensures that exam rooms are cleaned and stocked, working toward maintaining a safe and clean environment.

 

Certified Medical Assistant/LPN (100.18) .9 This position is responsible for support of the physician in providing quality medical care to patients as well as monitoring physician’s schedule and making appropriate adjustments. This is a fast paced Family Practice. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Assists physician with office procedures, collection and maintenance of accurate patient documents. Ensures that exam rooms are cleaned and stocked, working toward maintaining a safe and clean environment. Upon clinician direction, the Medical Assistant is responsible for obtaining HMO referral authorization when needed. The medical assistant is responsible for maintaining CPR certification as well as complying with other hospital regulations. Office Experience Preferred

Dietitian (89.18) .08 This position is responsible for planning and organizing the activities of the Food and Nutrition Services Department to provide quality food services for patients, customers of the Columbus St Café, recipients of the Hospital’s Meals on Wheels program, and special events. This position provides a consultative role to the Food and Nutrition Services department to assure compliance with standards of practice and regulatory requirements. Provides nutrition education to inpatients, outpatients, and the community, and serves as a consultant to the physician in all areas of diet therapy and nutrition. The Dietitian works closely with the Food Services Department team members. The Dietitian also works closely with team member wellness, occupational health, weight management and other hospital nutrition related education programs. The Dietitian is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the DSMES service.

 

Medical Scribe (24.18) .5 PT This position is responsible for joining doctors during patient exams, documenting data to include in electronic health records. Must have experience in family practice.

 

Phlebotomist (102.18) PRN This position is responsible for greeting outpatients and processes laboratory test requisitions according to established policies and procedures. Types various forms, reports, and memorandums; answers telephones, taking and relaying messages; as well as performing a variety of miscellaneous clerical duties. Performs skilled phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture and capillary collection. Must be able to travel to physician offices, health fairs, and nursing homes to complete draws.

 

Physical Therapist (70.18) 1.0 The position is responsible for patient evaluation, treatment plan, and follow through of specific treatment programs within the scope of physical therapist practice, as prescribed by the attending physician and based on the diagnosis, history, experience, and goals of the client.  Provides at least general supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants, and at least indirect supervision to Qualified PT/ PTA students.

 

Radiology Technologist/CT Tech (80.18) .6 (Weekend) This position is responsible for imaging anatomical information from a cross-sectional plane of the body, with each image generated by a computer synthesis of x-ray transmission data obtained in many different directions in a given plane. A CT Tech obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, addresses patient concerns, and performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

 

Registered Nurse – Surgery (59.18) .6 This position is responsible to assist in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. Participates in the preparation of reports relative to surgical procedures. Functions as a member of the surgical team creating and maintaining a sterile field. Directs proper care and storage of supplies and equipment used for operating room and the emergency room. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care in the immediate postoperative period. Mandatory call rotation requires 30 minute response time.

 

Registered Nurse – Med/Surg (1.18) PRN, (34.18) PRN, (95.18) FT .9 (Nights), (97.18) FT .9 (Nights), (98.18) .6 (Days) This position is responsible to assess patient/family needs; plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates care for patients. Participates in patient and family education. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with all ancillary and patient care team members. Consistently demonstrates standards of professional nursing practice in all clinic settings. Graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications are required; Neonatal certification is recommended.

 

Registered Nurse - Emergency Dept. (Nights), (69.18) PRN This position is responsible to assess patient/family needs; plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates care for patients. Participates in patient and family education. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with all ancillary and patient care team members. Consistently demonstrates standards of professional nursing practice. Graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required; CPR, ACLS, and PALS, certifications are required with Neonatal certification is recommended. Prior emergency department hospital experience preferred.

 

Respiratory Therapist (87.18) PRN This position is responsible for administering patient Respiratory therapy treatments within the scope of education, and in accordance to physician orders. Licensure required

 

New  Sterile Processing Coordinator (104.18) FT This position is accountable for decontamination of patient care equipment, endoscopes and surgical instrumentation following all recommended practices. Selects the appropriate method of high level disinfection or sterilization of patient care equipment, endoscopes and surgical instrumentation. Must have advanced knowledge of cleaning and processing specialty instruments. Trains new staff. Requires current CRCST or process of attaining within 6 months of hire and 2 years of experience in a central service setting.

 

New  Sterile Processing Technician (105.18) PRN  This position is accountable for decontamination of patient care equipment, endoscopes and surgical instrumentation following all recommended practices. Must perform verification testing and completes all documentation. Preferred CRCST certification or completion of certification process within 2 years of hire date.

 

Surgical Technologist (72.18) .8 (Days) This position is responsible to assist in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.  Functions as a member of the OR sterile team, creating and maintaining a sterile field and issuing instruments to surgeons. Maintains proper care and storage of supplies and equipment used for operating room and emergency room patient care. Mandatory call rotation requires 30 minute response time. Certification preferred

 

NON-CLINICAL

Helpdesk Associate (78.18) 1.0  This position is responsible for assisting team members with information system questions including, but not limited to telephones, computer systems, internet/intranet, cell phones, copiers, etc.

 

New  Housekeeper (106.18) .6 PT This position is responsible to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary environment in the OR.

 

New  Unit Clerk (107.18) PRN This Position is responsible to provide general clerical, receptionist, and patient-related duties on the nursing unit. Works under the general direction of licensed nursing staff.
